Gold Bridges Inc. Foreign Skilled Workers Provide Innovative Employment Solutions
April 10, 2006
Canada seeks to build its economy with skilled immigrants who can succeed in the country's knowledge-based economy. Gold Bridges Inc. provides services to employers and foreign skilled workers seeking to fill high demand industry needs.
We service this demand by assisting the employer and the worker to take advantage of programs that sponsor foreign skilled workers for permanent or temporary residency. There are three common streams: the Temporary Work Visa Program, the National Skilled Workers Program and the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP.)
Temporary Work Visa Program
The Temporary Work Visa provides the most flexible avenue for employers to obtain qualified skilled workers. On a fee for service to employers, Gold Bridges Inc. is normally able to fill skilled worker requirements and have the recruits in place within a 3—6 month period from the time of application through HRSDC.
Employers must be able to demonstrate a driving business requirement for which skilled workers are necessary for implementation .
Workers in the specific areas as listed in the National Occupation list are greatly needed in temporary employment positions.
These positions begin with working visas of 12 or 18 months duration which can be extended as necessary.
This visa can also aid skilled workers to accumulate additional points when applying for permanent status under both the national and provincial skilled worker programs.
National Skilled Workers Program
Canada recognizes the great need for skilled workers in many industries. This program allows entry of skilled workers under certain economic circumstances. A long term process, designed at the federal level to meet the planned needs of employers, this specialized program entitles immigrants to reside in Canada. Through a point system, assessment of an eligible applicant is based upon:
· Level of education
· Ability to effectively communicate in one of Canada's Official Languages
· Employment Experience
· Applicant’s Age
· Arranged employment in Canada
· Adaptability (Spouses' education and employability)
Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)
Manitoba recognizes a shortage of skilled workers in many industries. This program sponsors Permanent Residency for immigrants under social and economic circumstances.
This program is only for applicants who desire to immigrate and become permanent residents of Manitoba only. The process is best used to fill long term needs for skilled workers as it can take 12 – 18 months for workers to be approved and report to the job site. An assessment of the candidates’ eligibility is also required.
